Syringa
The perfect knit summer tee, Syringa is loose, breezy, and very pretty with its romantic lace hem. The lace is designed to be easy to knit, and the instructions are both written and charted. A perfect fit is accomplished with short rows shaping the shoulders.
Syringa is knit seamlessly from the top down. You begin by casting on all the stitches for the back, work short rows to shape the shoulders, and then knit straight to the depth of the yoke. The front shoulders are picked up from the back piece. Short rows are again used to shape the shoulders, and a gently scooped neckline is shaped with increases. Following the shaping, the front is worked straight to the depth of the yoke. The body is knit in the round ending in a graceful lace hem. Sleeves are picked up and knit in the round.
